About these terms

These terms cover Calden and this website, provided by Archolm ApS, CVR 46220374, Helmsvej 49, 2880 Bagsværd, Denmark. Contact support@archolm.dk with questions. Use Calden in accordance with these terms and any applicable App Store terms. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

Everyday estimates, with your review

Calden is a meal diary for general awareness. Photo-based foods, portions, and nutrition are estimates that can be incomplete or incorrect. A photograph cannot establish exact weight, hidden ingredients, oils, recipes, or allergens. Review and correct entries using information you know, including package labels.

Calden does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not use it to make medication, allergy, or other medical decisions. Personal plans and activity context are general suggestions, not clinical recommendations. Food goals remain under your control.

Age requirement

Calden is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Its optional online photo analysis and personal-plan assistance use Google Gemini, which is available only for adults. Calden asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older before enabling photo analysis and before requesting an AI-generated personal plan. If you are under 18, do not use Calden's online AI features or confirm that you meet the age requirement. Manual logging and other on-device features remain available without online assistance.

Your content and device

You keep ownership of the content you add. You permit processing of selected information only as needed to provide the features you choose, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only submit material you have the right to use.

You are responsible for reviewing your diary and protecting access to your device. Diary data is stored locally. Calden does not provide cloud diary backup; restoring a purchase does not restore diary entries.

Optional assistance and availability

Online assistance requires connectivity and may be unavailable or paused, limited by an allowance, or withdrawn. Pending or failed photo results do not count towards nutrition totals until an estimate is complete. Manual logging, corrections, and access to your existing local diary do not depend on an active AI allowance.

Archolm may change, suspend, or discontinue optional online features as Calden develops, including to protect the service or manage third-party availability and cost. Nothing in this paragraph removes a remedy or mandatory right you have under applicable law. This website does not promise a release date, permanent availability in any storefront, or complete translation into any language.

Calden Plus and App Store purchases

If Calden Plus is offered in your App Store, the purchase screen shows the available features, billing period, and price in your storefront before you confirm. No purchase is made on this website. Apple processes payment through your Apple Account.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled under the terms shown by Apple at purchase. If an introductory offer is shown, Apple determines eligibility and displays its duration and the price that follows before you confirm. Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting Calden does not cancel a subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Purchase restoration uses the Apple Account associated with the purchase. Refund requests are handled through Apple’s purchase support, subject to applicable law.

Acceptable use

Archolm ApS owns or licenses Calden, its website, branding, and software. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use Calden under these terms and the applicable App Store rules. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, misuse online assistance, reverse engineer Calden except where applicable law permits, or upload unlawful content. We may restrict online access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or comply with law. This does not give us access to the diary stored only on your device.

Responsibility and your legal rights

We aim to provide Calden with reasonable care. Estimates and online availability cannot be guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, Archolm is not responsible for loss caused by reliance on an uncorrected estimate or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or your rights to remedies under applicable consumer law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes and will provide notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you have already acquired. Danish law applies, while preserving mandatory protections and court rights available to consumers in their country of residence. You may contact support if you would like help resolving a concern; doing so is not a requirement before using any formal remedy available to you.
